ARLINGTON, Texas – Coming off its first loss of the season and facing the defending Big West Conference regular season champions, the revamped UTA men's basketball team (3-1) displayed its grit with a hard-fought 68-59 win over UC Davis (1-4) Sunday afternoon at the College Park Center.

Troy 82, Central Arkansas 77
Troy, Ala. – Sophomore Javan Johnson scored 15 points in the second half, helping Troy earn a hard-fought 82-77 victory over Central Arkansas in non-conference men's basketball action on Sunday afternoon in Trojan Arena. 

Northern Kentucky 89, Coastal Carolina 83 
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Coastal Carolina got 20 points and eight rebounds from Zac Cuthbertson, but it was not enough in a hard-fought 89-83 loss to undefeated Northern Kentucky.

Georgia Southern 80, Montana 77
NASSAU, Bahamas – Tookie Brown tallied 22 points, six rebounds and four assists, and Georgia Southern held off Montana 80-77 to claim the Islands of the Bahamas Showcase title Sunday night in Kendal Isaacs National Gymnasium. Brown was named the tournament MVP, and Montae Glenn earned all-tournament honors after averaging 11.7 points and nine rebounds while shooting 75 percent from the floor. It is the Eagles' first in-season tournament championship since winning the Islander Classic in Corpus Christi, Texas, in 2003.
