Georgia State Secures Men's Soccer Regular Season Title

NEW ORLEANS – With Coastal Carolina's 4-1 win over Georgia Southern Friday night, Georgia State secures its first-ever Sun Belt Conference men's soccer regular-season title.

The Panthers (9-6-2, 2-0-2), with eight points, earned the regular-season crown and top seed for next week's Sun Belt Men's Soccer Championship in Statesboro, Ga. The host Eagles (6-6-3, 2-1-1), with seven points, will be the No. 2 seed.

– Yazeed Matthews and Tsiki Ntsabeleng each scored a pair of goals to send Coastal Carolina past Georgia Southern 4-1 Sun Belt Conference men's soccer action. Matthews came into the match scoring a goal in six consecutive matches, which tied him with two others for the longest streak in the nation this season. He now is by himself having scored a goal in his seventh consecutive match.  It is also the fourth consecutive match Matthews has scored two goals.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Georgia State men’s soccer team closed the regular season on Friday night with a tough 4-0 loss to UAB at BBVA Compass Field.

BOONE, N.C.
– Appalachian State University men's soccer (8-5-3, 2-1-1 Sun Belt) downed Howard (2-9-3, 0-4-0) in a 3-0 triumph on Senior Day at Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex.   With the win, the Black and Gold secured its first winning season since 2012, while it's the highest finish in the Sun Belt for the Mountaineers since joining the conference in 2014.
