GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands – All five scorers finished in double figures and Georgia State dominated Georgia 91-67 to earn third place in the Cayman Islands Classic on Wednesday night at John Gray Gym. Senior Malik Benlevi led the Panthers with 24 points, going 8-of-11 from 3-point range as the Panthers topped the Bulldogs for the third time in the last four tries dating back to 2000.

ESTERO, Fla. – Marcus Stroman scored 19 of his career-high 26 points in the second half and the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns erased a seven-point deficit in the second half to claim a 68-61 victory over in-state opponent Tulane on Wednesday during the final day of the Gulf Coast Showcase at Hertz Arena. JaKeenan Gant and Justin Miller each recorded double-doubles as Louisiana (3-3) erased a 34-31 halftime deficit and outscored Tulane (2-3), 37-27, in the second half to claim third-place in the eight-team field.
Texas State 54, Cal Poly 42
PORTLAND, Ore. – Trailing by seven at halftime after a rough offensive period, the Texas State men’s basketball came back to defeat Cal Poly 54-42 Wednesday evening in the Chiles Center. Nijal Pearson led all players with 22 points, 18 of which came in the final 20 minutes. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 3-1 on the season while the Mustangs drop to 1-3.
