Texas State 3, Rice 1
AUSTIN, Texas
– The Texas State women's volleyball team continued its 2018 historic season when the Bobcats defeated the Rice Owls in four sets to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history, Thursday night, at Gregory Gym. The victory comes after Texas State won its first Sun Belt Conference regular season championship and first Sun Belt Championship tournament since 2013, the first year in the league for the Bobcats.

Radford 3, Appalachian State 1
CLEMSON, S.C.
 – Appalachian State volleyball suffered a 3-1 loss to Radford in the first round of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) on Thursday evening on the campus of Clemson. The Mountaineers see their season come to a close with a 22-9 record. Radford improves to 22-6 and advances to take on either Clemson or Alabama A&M in the second round on Friday.

California Baptist 3, Little Rock 2
NEW ORLEANS
– The Little Rock Trojans comeback effort came up short against California Baptist in the first round of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC), falling in five sets to the Lancers.

Tulane 3, Arkansas State 2
NEW ORLEANS
 – The Arkansas State volleyball team fell to Tulane in five sets (25-23, 27-25, 25-22, 25-8, 15-13) Thursday night in the first round of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) at Devlin Fieldhouse. A-State concluded the season 19-14 overall while Tulane improved to 26-8.

 – The Texas State volleyball team's historic 2018 season came to an abrupt end Friday night when the Bobcats dropped a 3-0 decision against No. 5-seeded Texas in a NCAA Second Round match at Gregory Gym.
