Tulane 3, South Alabama 0
ATLANTA
– The University of South Alabama volleyball team fell to Tulane in straight sets (23-25, 13-25, 23-25) Thursday at the Hyatt Regency Invitational.

South Alabama (1-3) will return to action Friday when it closes play at the Hyatt Regency Invitational with a pair of matches. The Jaguars will face host Georgia Tech at 11 a.m. (CT) Friday morning, which will be broadcast live on ESPN3, and will cap the tournament with a 3:30 p.m. match Friday afternoon with Wofford.

Texas State 3, UTSA 1
SAN MARCOS, Texas
– The Texas State volleyball team collected its first win of the season with a 3-1 (25-17, 20-25, 25-21, 25-23) triumph over UTSA Thursday night inside Strahan Arena.
 
The Bobcats (1-3) earned their first win of 2018 playing inside their newly-renovated home in front of the ninth-largest crowd in school history (1,638). The Roadrunners (3-1) suffered their first setback of the new campaign on the first night of the 2018 Creeds & Crests Classic.
