- On Friday at the Stan Sheriff Center,  the Coastal Carolina volleyball dropped its final match of two to the Hawaii Rainbow Wahine. The Chanticleers fell in straight sets, 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-22) and now drop to 1-4 on the season.

OXFORD, Miss. – Little Rock stumbled for the first time in 2018, dropping a pair of hard-fought matches to Southern Miss and Ole Miss at the Rebel Invitational. The Trojans fall to 5-2 on the season following the pair of losses to Mississippi foes.

Georgia Southern 3, North Dakota State 0

MINNEAPOLIS – Skylar Ball posted 20 kills in two matches and earned all-tournament honors as Georgia Southern split a pair of volleyball contests in the Diet Coke Classic at Maturi Pavilion Saturday. The Eagles (1-5) posted a 3-0 victory over North Dakota State (1-5) in their evening match after falling 3-0 to the third-ranked Golden Gophers (5-0) in the morning.

Radford 3, ULM 0
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.
– The ULM volleyball team (2-4) brought its best fight to today's battle against Radford (5-1) at the Redhawk Invitational, but dropped the Sunday match in a 3-0 decision. The Warhawks closed out their time in Missouri with three losses despite 11 hard fought sets.

BOONE, N.C. – The Appalachian State volleyball team suffered defeats at the hands of ACC foe Clemson and SEC opponent Mississippi State on the final day of the Appalachian Invitational on Saturday. The Mountaineers (4-2) dropped a highly contested five-set contest to invitational champion Clemson (4-2) 25-22, 19-25, 21-25, 26-24, 15-10. App State fell to Mississippi State (2-5) 27-25, 25-23, 25-18 in the final match against the weekend.

Furman 3, Georgia State 0
CHICAGO - Georgia State fell 3-0 to Furman in the final match of the Rambler Challenge Saturday afternoon. GSU was winless in three tries over the weekend and is now 2-4 on the season.

LAFAYETTE, La. – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball earned a winning record in pre-conference tournament play following the conclusion of the Sawyer Camillo Memorial Classic at Earl K. Long Gym. Louisiana (5-2) completed the event 3-1, securing the winning mark after a straight sets sweep (26-24, 25-19, 25-13) of Sam Houston State. The Ragin' Cajuns landed 52 kills on a .328 percentage and never faced a deficit in topping the Bearkats. Houston (8-0) was able to fend off a strong surge from the Ragin' Cajuns in posting a 3-1 (25-13, 25-22, 23-25, 25-20) win in the tournament finale. 

Texas State 3,  Incarnate Word 0
SAN MARCOS, Texas
– The Texas State volleyball team swept Incarnate Word 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-20) to clinch the 2018 Creeds & Crests Classic Championship Saturday afternoon inside Strahan Arena. The Bobcats (3-3) moved to 3-0 on the weekend in their home tournament, while the Cardinals fell to 0-6 on the season.

North Carolina State 3, Arkansas State 2
DALLAS – The Arkansas State volleyball squad fell behind 2-0, but battled back to force a decisive fifth set before losing 3-2 (19-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-22, 13-15) to North Carolina State in both teams’ last match of the SMU Doubletree Classic at Moody Coliseum in Dallas, Texas.

Troy 3, Middle Tennessee 1

UTA 3, Loyola Maryland 1
ARLINGTON, Texas – With neither team finding a stride offensively, it was the defense that helped UTA top Loyola Maryland 3-1 on Saturday at College Park Center. The Mavericks close out the Maverick classic at 6:30 p.m. against Binghamton with a win earning UTA the tournament title.

ARLINGTON, Texas
 – UTA swept its way to the 2018 Maverick Classic title after closing out the weekend with a 3-0 sweep of Binghamton on Saturday at College Park Center. The Mavs topped Loyola Maryland earlier in the day by a 3-1 final, and swept Air Force on Friday night. 

Texas State 3, Abilene Christian 1
SAN MARCOS, Texas
– The Texas State volleyball team wrapped up a perfect weekend at home by knocking off Abilene Christian 3-1 (25-20, 22-25, 25-18, 25-16) Saturday night inside Strahan Arena. The triumph gave the Bobcats (4-3) an unblemished 4-0 record and a championship-winning performance in the 2018 Creeds & Crests Classic.
