Appalachian State 3, Georgia Southern 0
STATESBORO, Ga.
 – Five players had at least seven kills as Appalachian State volleyball opened Sun Belt play with a 27-25, 25-20, 25-18 victory at Georgia Southern on Friday evening. The Mountaineers (9-4, 1-0 Sun Belt) have now won four of their last five Sun Belt openers. The victory was also the first sweep to open conference play since the 2014 season, when App State also posted a 3-0 sweep of Georgia Southern.

Little Rock 3, South Alabama 1
LITTLE ROCK, Ark.
– Paced by 19 team blocks, Little Rock made a statement in its Sun Belt Conference opener, outlasting South Alabama 25-20, 18-25, 25-21, 25-23 in its home opener at the Jack Stephens Center. The win ups the Trojans' record to 9-5 on the year, matching its win total from the 2017 campaign.

Arkansas State 3, Troy 0
JONESBORO, Ark.
– The Arkansas State volleyball team swept Troy 3-0 (25-22, 26-24, 25-18) as both teams began Sun Belt Conference play Friday night inside First National Bank Arena. A-State (9-5, 1-0 SBC) won its seventh straight match, tying last season’s longest win streak, and improved to 5-2 in Sun Belt openers under head coach David Rehr. 

Louisiana 3, UTA 1
LAFAYETTE, La. – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball came away victorious in its Sun Belt Conference opener on Friday at Earl K. Long Gym, rebounding from an opening set loss to defeat UT Arlington 3-1 (15-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-18).

Texas State 3, ULM 0
MONROE, La.
– The Texas State volleyball team swept ULM (25-19, 25-13, 25-19) to kickoff Sun Belt Conference action Friday night inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum.The Bobcats (10-5, 1-0 Sun Belt) upped their win streak to five matches in a row and became the first Sun Belt school with double-digit victories for the second-straight year.
