STATESBORO, Ga. – Florida Gulf Coast tallied a goal in each half and held off a furious second-half charge to notch a 2-0 men's college soccer victory over host Georgia Southern on Friday evening at Eagle Field. The FGCU Eagles improved to 2-2 on the season with the win, while the GS Eagles suffered their first defeat of the season, falling to 2-1-1. It was the first meeting in school history between the two teams.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Appalachian State University men's soccer suffered its first loss of the season in a 1-0 setback to a tough ETSU (2-3) squad on Saturday evening at Summers-Taylor Stadium. The Mountaineers despite the loss, are still at a 4-1 mark for the season and is one win away from matching last season's win total. Entering Saturday, App was one of 14 programs in the country that remained undefeated.
Georgia State 3, Winthrop 1
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Three goals within the first thirteen minutes of the second half lifted Georgia State past Winthrop 3-1 Saturday night at Eagle Field, extending the Panthers’ winning streak to three games – the sixth consecutive season GSU has strung together at least three straight victories. Saturday’s win boosted Georgia State to 3-2-0 overall while Winthrop fell to 1-3-0. GSU took a 3-1 lead in the all-time series against the Eagles.
