Georgia State 77, UTA 71
ATLANTA
– Georgia State defeated UT Arlington 77-71 Saturday at GSU Sports Arena, as senior guard Jeff Thomas became the 21st Panther to reach the 1,000 career point mark. Georgia State (15-6, 6-2 Sun Belt) snapped a two-game losing streak, its longest of the season, leading by as many as 16 points in the first half, but UTA (9-12, 5-3 Sun Belt) would battle back, taking a four-point lead early in the second half. But the Panthers would hit seven of its 10 3-pointers in the second half to help pull out the victory.

South Alabama 78, ULM 72
MONROE, La. 
– South Alabama sophomore John Pettway scored a career-best 16 points – 12 in the second half alone – and junior Herb McGee nailed a key 3-pointer with 25 seconds left to clinch a 78-72 victory over ULM Saturday afternoon at Fant-Ewing Coliseum. South Alabama (10-11, 3-5 Sun Belt) put four in double-digit points, including junior Trhae Mitchell who led all players with 23 points. Junior Josh Ajayi added 19 and McGee totaled 12 on four 3-pointers.

Appalachian State 77, Little Rock 73
LITTLE ROCK, Ark.
 – Appalachian State men's basketball forced Little Rock into 21 turnovers en route to a 77-73 road victory on Saturday afternoon. The Mountaineers (6-14, 1-6 Sun Belt) made the most of the 21 Trojan (7-14, 2-6 Sun Belt) turnovers, scoring 23 points off the miscues.

Coastal Carolina 77, Arkansas State 64
JONESBORO, Ark. – Zac Cuthbertson and DeVante Jonesscored 16 points each to lead Coastal Carolina to a 77-64 road win at Arkansas State. The win for the Chants was their third consecutive win, giving them their longest winning streak of the season.

Georgia Southern 74, Texas State 58
STATESBORO, Ga.
– Montae Glenn tallied his 13th career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Georgia Southern forced 18 Texas State turnovers to post a 74-58 Sun Belt men's basketball win over the Bobcats Saturday evening in Hanner Fieldhouse.

Louisiana 86, Troy 81
LAFAYETTE, La.
– Marcus Stroman scored six of his 21 points in a decisive 15-5 run and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns closed out a two-game homestand as it rallied to defeat Troy, 86-81, in a Sun Belt Conference game on Saturday at the Cajundome. JaKeenan Gant posted his eighth double-double of the season, scoring 21 points and grabbing 10 rebounds as Louisiana (13-7, 4-3 SBC) placed four players in double figures and swept its first SBC weekend of the season.
