SAN MARCOS, Texas – Joshua Rowland kicked a 31-yard field goal with just over six minutes to play, and Texas State (3-6, 2-3 Sun Belt) held on for a 30-28 victory over South Alabama (1-8, 0-5 Sun Belt) in its annual Homecoming game Saturday afternoon at Bobcat Stadium.

Troy 49, Georgia Southern 28
TROY, Ala. – Troy dominated Georgia Southern in all three phases of the game in a convincing 49-28 victory Saturday at The Vet in Sun Belt Conference play. The Trojans rolled up 603 yards of total offense, registered a school-record nine sacks and outrushed the Eagles' triple option attack for the Homecoming win.

ULM 45, Georgia State 31
MONROE, La. – Caleb Evans threw for 291 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 110 yards and another score, leading UL Monroe to a 45-31 victory over Georgia State on Saturday night. Josh Johnson added 168 yards rushing on 20 carries for the Warhawks (4-5, 3-2 Sun Belt).

Appalachian State 20, South Carolina 15
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Zac Thomas ran for a touchdown and Nicholas Ross scored on a 20-yard interception return as Appalachian State beat its second Autonomy Five program of the season – and first from the Southeastern Conference – with a 20-15 victory over South Carolina on Saturday night.
