@UTAMavsWBB Falls to Northwestern 74-47
EVANSTON, Ill. – Marie Benson finished with a team-high 16 points as the UTA women's basketball team fell to (RV) Northwestern in their final non-conference road game of the season, 74-47.

UTA shot 31.5 percent (17-of-54) from the field and 20 percent (3-of-15) from behind the arc. Northwestern shot 48.3 percent (28-of-58) from the field and 44 percent (11-of-25) from deep.

Louisiana Comes Up Short Against No. 15 Mississippi State, 64-48
LAFAYETTE – Louisiana gave No. 15 Mississippi State all it could handle for 40 minutes on Education Day, but a late, fourth-quarter run by the visitors broke the game open and sent the Bulldogs past the Ragin' Cajuns, 64-48, on Monday afternoon.

Entering the final period down 10 points, Louisiana (6-3) had two chances to put the pressure on when it trimmed the Mississippi State lead to 46-40 (7:00) and 53-46 (3:54). However, the Bulldogs pushed the lead out to 64-46 with an 11-0 run in the last three minutes to ice the game.

Eagles Push Ole Miss To Overtime, Fall 69-66 In Oxford
STATESBORO - Georgia Southern forced Ole Miss to an extra period, but the Rebels opened overtime on a 9-2 run to pick up a 69-66 victory over visiting Georgia Southern on Monday in a Kids Day contest at the Pavilion in Oxford, Miss.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Rebels (6-5), while Georgia Southern (2-6) dropped its second straight. The Kids Day crowd was announced at 6,574, the third-largest crowd to witness a Georgia Southern women's basketball game in program history.
