Conway, S.C. – No. 19 Coastal Carolina outscored the Michigan State Spartans 25-5 to take both games of a doubleheader on Friday on day one of the 20th annual Brittain Resorts Baseball at the Beach held at Springs Brooks Stadium. The Chants blanked the Spartans 13-0 in game one and erased a three-run deficit in game two to beat the visitors from the Big Ten 12-5.

ARLINGTON, Texas – The UTA baseball team scored six runs in the final three innings, scoring the game-tying and game-winning runs off a throwing error by the shortstop in a 9-8 comeback win over Stephen F. Austin on Day One of the UTA Classic on Friday night at Clay Gould Ballpark.

STATESBORO – Georgia Southern dropped Friday night's series opener to West Virginia, 5-1. The Eagles got a solid outing from starting pitcher Seth Shuman, but four runs in the final three innings handed the visitors the win. The series concludes with a Saturday doubleheader between the Eagles and Mountaineers, game one is set for 1 p.m. with game two slated for a 5 p.m. start.

SAN MARCOS, Texas – In the opening game of the Lake Area Classic, the Texas State baseball team fell behind by five before making a furious comeback over the final four innings. However, the Bluejays came away with a 6-5 victory Friday afternoon at Joe Miller Ballpark.
