NEW ORLEANS – No. 3 Georgia Southern cruised past No. 7 ULM with a 81-64 quarterfinal victory to advance to the semifinals of the 2019 Sun Belt Men’s Basketball Championship, presented by First Bank and Trust.
The Eagles (21-11, 12-6 Sun Belt) advance to take on No. 2 UTA at 5:30 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
Isaiah Crawley scored a career-high 21 points to lead Georgia Southern. He shot 9-of-12 from the field and hit two free throws. David-Lee Jones Jr. made 6-of-9 from the floor and 4-of-5 from 3-point range while tallying 17 points, three assists and two steals. Quan Jackson collected 14 points and three steals, and Tookie Brown posted 10 points, six rebounds and two assists. Montae Glenn notched a game-high 11 rebounds.
Michael Ertrel and Daishon Smith each had 16 points for the Warhawks (18-15, 9-9) with Travis Munnings adding 14 points and nine rebounds.
