– Behind 31 points from Edric Dennis, a second-straight 50+ percent shooting performance from the floor and a third-consecutive game of double-digit 3-point makes, UTA (15-15, 11-6 Sun Belt Conference) completed a road sweep with a 79-66 win over Troy (11-17, 4-12) Saturday afternoon inside Trojan Arena.

Georgia Southern 81, Arkansas State 70
STATESBORO, Ga. – Tookie Brown tallied 17 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals, and Georgia Southern shot 61 percent from the floor to down Arkansas State 81-70 in Sun Belt men’s basketball action Saturday evening in Hanner Fieldhouse.

– South Alabama scored 21 unanswered points spanning halftime and had four players in double-figure points in a 77-63 win over Texas State Saturday night at the Mitchell Center.

 – Hunter Seacat poured in a career-high 16 points as Appalachian State recorded a 90-80 victory at Louisiana on Sunday afternoon. Seacat went 7-of-11 (63.6 percent) from the field and added eight rebounds (four offensive).
