No. 16 Coastal Carolina 4, Troy 2
Conway, S.C.
– Sophomore right-handed pitcher Zach McCambley struck out a career-high 10 batters to lead a Chanticleers' pitching attack that fanned a season-high 14 hitters and stranded a total of 14 Troy runners in a 4-2 win over the Trojans at Springs Brooks Stadium on Friday night.

No. 16 Coastal Carolina improved to 4-0 in the Sun Belt and 17-4-1 overall with the win.

UTA 14, Georgia State 6
ATLANTA, Ga.
- Connor Aube and Andrew Miller each collected two runs and two RBIs as UTA's offense erupted to beat Georgia State 14-6 Friday at the GSU Baseball Complex.

Aube finished 3-for-6 with two runs, two RBIs and a stolen base, while Miller finished 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs. Anthony Dominguez added a three-run home run and Josh Minjarez went 1-for-3 with a pair of runs scored and a grand slam.

Georgia Southern 7, Little Rock 6 (12)

- Georgia Southern Baseball got seven innings and 13 strikeouts from starting pitcher Seth Shuman, but in the end it was a squeeze bunt from Mason Miller that gave the Eagles a 7-6 win over Little Rock on Friday night. The Eagles blew a two-run lead in the ninth, but came back to tie it in the bottom of the half. Georgia Southern left two runners aboard in the 11th, but finally got the win in the 12th to improve to 11-10 and 3-1 in the league. Game two of the series is the annual Bark in the Park Day, first pitch on Saturday is set for 3 p.m.

Appalachian State 6, Louisiana 5
LAFAYETTE, La.
— Appalachian State Baseball began its first Sun Belt Conference road series with a dramatic comeback against the Ragin' Cajuns. Trailing by two runs entering the seventh inning at Louisiana, App State scored once in each of its final three at-bats to claim a 6-5 victory Friday night before a crowd of 4,779 fans at Russo Park.

Luke Drumheller scored the tiebreaking run on Bailey Welch's RBI fielder's choice with the bases loaded in the top of the ninth inning, and Andrew Papp recorded his third save by retiring three of the four batters he faced in the bottom of the ninth. He followed a strikeout with a one-out walk, then induced a flyout to Kendall McGowan in left and ended the game with a strikeout on an 0-2 pitch.

Arkansas State 6, South Alabama 0
JONESBORO, Ark. (3/22/19)
– The Arkansas State baseball team earned a shutout victory (6-0) over South Alabama, Friday evening at Tomlinson Stadium. With the win, the Red Wolves improved to 15-7 overall and 4-0 in the Sun Belt Conference while South Alabama fell to 11-9 overall and 2-2 in the league.

Zach Jackson pitched 6.1 scoreless innings for the Red Wolves only allowing six hits, three walks and punching out three. Payton Lannon and Zech Jarrard pitched a combined 2.2 in relief of Jackson striking out two each.

Texas State 5, ULM 1
SAN MARCOS, Texas
– Combining to score four runs in the bottom of the seventh and eighth innings, the Texas State baseball team (13-9, 2-2 Sun Belt) defeated ULM (7-14, 0-4 Sun Belt) 5-1 Friday night in the series opener at Bobcat Ballpark.

Nicholas Fraze (3-2) picked up the victory after throwing 7.0 innings, tying his season-high. He struck out four while limiting the Warhawks to one run on three hits. Taking the loss was Trey Jeans (0-4) after he gave up two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four in 6.1 innings.
