– Coastal Carolina baseball scored a season-high 27 runs, highlighted by a season-high nine runs in the top of the seventh, on a season-high 21 base hits in a 27-2 series-opening win at Georgia State on Friday night at the GSU Baseball Complex in Atlanta, Ga.

Texas State 13, Louisiana 9

- Georgia Southern Baseball scored nine unanswered runs to take a 9-2 win over South Alabama on Friday night. The win snapped an eight game losing streak against the Jaguars, dating back to the 2017 season. Noah Ledford drove in four runs for the Eagles with a pair of bases loaded knocks. Game two between the Eagles and Jaguars is set for Saturday at 3 p.m.

Georgia Southern 9, South Alabama 2
LITTLE ROCK
- Chandler Fidel nearly went the distance in Little Rock's 4-3 win over Troy in the series opener Friday night, tossing 8.2 innings to earn the win.

The ace only allowed three runs in his outing, racking up a career-high 12 strikeouts while scattering three hits and two walks on the night.

ULM 11, Arkansas State 4
Jonesboro, Ark.
- It took two full innings, but once the ULM Warhawks started, Arkansas State struggled to find an answer in an 11-4 ULM win on Friday night at Tomlinson Stadium.

The Warhawks pounded out a season-high 19 hits while scoring the final 11 runs of the game.

Little Rock 4, Troy 3
LAFAYETTE, La.
– The Texas State baseball team (29-13, 13-6 Sun Belt) jumped out to a 10-run advantage before hanging on to defeat Louisiana (20-25, 8-11 Sun Belt) 13-9 Friday night at Russo Park.

Picking up the win out of the bullpen was Kyle Bradford (1-0). He tossed 1.2 innings with a strikeout while giving up a hit and two unearned runs. Zachary Leigh earned his team-high third save of the season after throwing 2.2 scoreless innings and striking out three. Brandon Young (2-5) took the loss as he gave up five runs on six hits and four walks in 4.1 innings.
