– Troy took both legs of a tough Sun Belt Conference doubleheader Friday at Bobcat Ballpark, downing Texas State, 7-3 and 7-6, in the two games to clinch the road series. The Trojans (16-14, 5-6) pulled out two big wins in two completely different fashions to knock off a tough Bobcat (19-12, 6-5) ball club and win its first conference series away from home in 2019.

ULM 16, Georgia State 8
Atlanta
– Andrew Beesley hit a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning, and ULM added four more runs in the second inning to jump on top of Georgia State early to take a 16-8 victory in the opening game of the series Friday night at the GSU Baseball Complex.

Little Rock 13, UT Arlington 3
ARLINGTON, Texas
- Little Rock earned their fifth consecutive victory Friday night, as their bats got hot in their 13-3 victory over UT Arlington in the series opener. Chandler Fidel got the nod for the contest, posting a solid line of six innings-pitched, allowing only two earned runs on six hits with four strikeouts. Zach Ours was exceptional in his relief outing, throwing three innings to finish the game. The senior allowed only one run while scattering two hits and punching out four Mavericks on the night.

Arkansas State 12, Louisiana 6
Lafayette, LA. (4/5/19)
– A five-run seventh inning powered the Arkansas State baseball team in its12-6 series opening victory over Louisiana, Saturday evening at Russo Park. With the win, A-State improved to 20-11 overall and 8-2 in the Sun Belt, while the Ragin’ Cajuns fell to 15-17 overall and 4-6 in the league. Zach Jackson (5-1) registered his fifth consecutive quality start, pitching six innings only allowing three runs on eight hits while striking out three. Jack Jumper seen action in relief, pitching 1.2 scoreless innings with no hits, earning his second save of the season.

Georgia Southern 3, Appalachian State 0 (Suspended in 6th)
BOONE, N.C.
— A fog delay suspended Friday's series opener between Appalachian State and Georgia Southern with the Eagles leading 3-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning. Game 1 will resume Saturday at 11 a.m. with a runner on first, one out and App State batting. Game 2 will follow approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1.

Coastal Carolina at South Alabama (Postponed)
MOBILE, Ala.
– Tonight's series opener between the University of South Alabama baseball team and No. 19 Coastal Carolina has been postponed due to field conditions, and will be made up as part of a Saturday doubleheader at Stanky Field beginning at 1 p.m. Heavy rains and thunderstorms passed through the Mobile area Thursday night and Friday afternoon, forcing officials to postpone the series opener until Saturday. Game two of the series will begin approximately 40 minutes after the conclusion of game one Saturday. Sunday's series finale is still scheduled for an 11:30 a.m. first pitch on Sun., April 7.
