Georgia Southern 3, Appalachian State 0

- Georgia Southern needed two days, but in the end the Eagles took a 3-0 win over Appalachian State to open a three game weekend series. Friday's game was called on account of fog in the sixth inning with the Eagles up 3-0. On Saturday morning, the Eagles shut the door to improve to 17-13 and 6-4 in league play. Game two is set to begin shortly in Boone.

— Appalachian State Baseball treated a large, lively home crowd to a big win against rival Georgia Southern on Saturday. Tyler Leek hit his first Division I homer in the second inning before the Mountaineers had a pair of four-run frames in support of Tyler Tuthill, who pitched six strong innings in a 9-5 victory that tied the Sun Belt Conference series.

ULM 10, Georgia State 3

– Chad Bell hit the go-ahead 2-RBI single, Ty Barnes kept ULM in the game on the mound, and Jacob Barton and the Warhawk defense shut down Georgia State over the final four innings to pick up a 10-3 win Saturday afternoon at the GSU Baseball Complex. With the win, the Warhawks (13-18 overall, 4-7 Sun Belt) will play with a chance at their first sweep of the season on Sunday afternoon, and clinched their first road series victory of the season.

No. 19 Coastal Carolina 9, South Alabama 4
Mobile, Ala.
– No. 19 Coastal Carolina baseball recorded five home runs on the day, yet split a Sun Belt Conference doubleheader at South Alabama on Saturday afternoon at Stanky Field. The Chanticleers took game one by a score of 9-4 before dropping game two 8-4.

South Alabama 8, No. 19 Coastal Carolina 4
MOBILE, Ala.
– The University of South Alabama baseball team split a Sun Belt Conference East Division doubleheader with No. 19 Coastal Carolina Saturday at Stanky Field. USA jumped out to a 4-0 lead through two innings in the series opener, but CCU scored nine unanswered runs over the final seven frames for a 9-4 win in game one. South Alabama (14-16, 4-7 Sun Belt) rebounded for an 8-4 win in game two to force a Sunday rubber match at 11:30 a.m. at Stanky Field.

Little Rock 9, UT Arlington 7
ARLINGTON, Texas
- Another great offensive performance from Little Rock as well as a gritty pitching performance from Dillon Delgadillo down the stretch gave the Trojans a 9-7 win over UT Arlington to claim game two of the three-game set.

Texas State 4, Troy 3 (Suspended in 3rd)

– Troy and Texas State were in the middle of game three of their Sun Belt series at Bobcat Ballpark, when officials cleared the playing field due to lightning in the area and later suspended the game until 12 p.m. Sunday.

LAFAYETTE – Riding hot bats and stellar outings by both its starters and its bullpen, the Louisiana Baseball team put together two complete performances to claim victories of 14-5 and 6-1 in Saturday's doubleheader to clinch the weekend series over Arkansas State.
