BOONE, N.C. - Georgia Southern erased an early 2-0 deficit to take a 6-2 Sunday win over App State on Sunday morning. The Eagles three in the fifth and didn't look back, getting two RBIs from Steven Curry and JP Tighe, while pitcher Lawson Humphries made a pinch running appearance and scored a run. Georgia Southern is back at home on Wednesday night against Kennesaw State.
No. 19 Coastal Carolina 14, South Alabama 5
Mobile, Ala. – No. 19 Coastal Carolina baseball got a strong start on the mound from junior pitcher Anthony Veneziano and scored a season-high eight runs in one inning to rout South Alabama 14-5 on Sunday afternoon at Stanky Field in Mobile, Ala. The Sun Belt series win is the third of the season for the Chants. CCU has now won 19-of-24 conference series matchups since joining the Sun Belt Conference in 2017.
ULM 9, Georgia State 3
Atlanta – For the third straight game, ULM jumped on top early and rode a strong effort on the mound as the Warhawks completed the weekend 3-game sweep of Georgia State with a 9-3 win on Sunday afternoon at the GSU Baseball Complex. The Warhawks (14-18 overall, 5-7 Sun Belt) have won five straight Sun Belt Conference games and seven of their last nine games overall.
Texas State 8, Troy 7 (10 innings)
SAN MARCOS, Texas – Sophomore outfielder John Wuthrich singled through the left side in the bottom of the 10th to drive home the winning run in Texas State's 8-7 victory over Troy Sunday afternoon. The game started Saturday night before inclement weather caused the game to be suspended. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 20-12 on the season and 7-5 in the Sun Belt Conference while the Trojans fall to 16-15 overall and 5-7 in conference play.
