Baseball Recaps and Scores - May 18

Louisiana 19, ULM 8 (7)
MONROE, La.
– Louisiana's bats were virtually unstoppable on Saturday afternoon, racking up a season-high 25 hits, the most since 2005, to take down ULM, 19-8, in seven innings and clinch a series victory at Warhawk Field.

Hunter Kasuls highlighted the offensive barrage, becoming the first player in program history to record six hits in a single game. The senior saw just seven pitches during his 6-for-6 effort and finished his day with five RBI and three runs scored.

Little Rock 13, Arkansas State 9
JONESBORO, Ark.
- Little Rock set a new program record for conference wins with their 13-9 win over Arkansas State to complete the sweep, Saturday afternoon at Tomlinson Stadium-Kell Field. The Trojans picked up their 18th conference win of the year in the regular season finale, breaking the record of 17 wins set in 2016.

Coastal Carolina 9, Appalachian State 6
Conway, S.C.
– A two hour and five minute-lightning delay nor two Appalachian State comebacks would deter Coastal Carolina on Saturday afternoon, as the Chanticleers held on for a 9-6 home win over the Mountaineers in the two teams' regular-season finale at Springs Brooks Stadium.

With the win, the Chants finished the regular-season slate at 30-23-1 overall and 15-13 in Sun Belt play, while the Mountaineers end their regular season at 22-30 and 13-16 in league play with the loss.

Troy 10, South Alabama 2
Mobile, Ala.
– Troy only needed three innings to score all of its run in a dominating 10-2 win over South Alabama to earn the Sun Belt Conference baseball series victory on Saturday evening at Stanky Field.

Five Trojans (29-27, 16-14 Sun Belt) turned in multi-hit performances including six extra base hits as a squad.
