FOLEY, Ala. - After falling to Little Rock in the first game of pool play yesterday, the Panthers regained footing outlasting Louisiana 3-2 (10-25, 25-19, 17-25, 25-20, 15-10) in the final match of the season.

Georgia State's five seniors shined in the contest. Jordan Shoemaker dished out 50 assists for the third time this season. Many of Shoemaker's assists went to longtime teammate and fellow Santa Fe College transfer, Leah Wilcox, who brought down 17 kills including the game-winning shot. Meisheia Griffin added 12 kills in route to being named the Under Armour Player of the Match. Additionally Cierra Sillmon contributed seven kills, while Dzemila Hadzic delivered a crucial service ace in the fifth set.

In an unique match that saw fluctuations in play from both squads, Louisiana stormed to a 25-10 victory in the first set. The Ragin' Cajuns dominated the net with five blocks to jostle the GSU offense.
