Markquis Nowell had a trio of double-doubles, averaging 19.0 points, 11.3 assists and 5.7 assists in leading Little Rock to a 2-1 week. The junior from Harlem, NY made 19 of 21 free throws (90.5%). In the win over Duquesne, he just missed a triple-double, finishing with 13 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds. Nowell added 25 points and 10 assists against Winthrop with five threes and finished the week with 19 points and a career-high 13-assists in the win over Central Arkansas. His 45 assists on the year leads the Sun Belt and ranks among the top-10 nationally. Nowell was named to Wade Houston Tipoff Classic All-Tournament team.
