ORLANDO, Fla.
– Appalachian State opened the D9 Citrus Blossom Tournament 2-0, defeating Bethune-Cookman 1-0 and Charleston Southern 4-0. The Mountaineers used solid pitching and clutch hitting to move to 4-2 on the season.

ORLANDO, Fla.
 – Stellar pitching was on display for Georgia Southern softball on day one of the Citrus Classic tournament at the Disney/ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando. The Eagles notched a 5-1 win over Saint Joseph's (Pa.) in the first game, but dropped a tight 1-0 decision to Lehigh in the second game.

– Coastal Carolina (2-3) earned a come from behind victory versus the Jacksonville State Gamecocks on Friday afternoon by the score of 8-6. Junior Makiya Thomas led all Coastal batters with three hits, and Sydney Guess came off the bench with a two-run single.

– Georgia State lost 4-0 to Presbyterian and 3-1 to South Dakota Friday at THE Spring Games.

– A five-run fourth inning powered Troy past Purdue Fort Wayne, 6-3, after a pair of home runs pushed the Trojans past Kennesaw State, 9-2, in the opening day of the Troy Invitational Friday at the Troy Softball Complex.

CONROE, Texas
– Sophomore Korie Kreps went a combined 6-for-7 at the plate and senior Jessie Watts belted her second home run of the season as ULM split the first day of games at the Scrap Yard Tournament in Conroe, Texas, on Friday, Feb. 14. ULM (3-3) fell to South Dakota State in the first game, 8-5, before the Warhawks defeated Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the second game, 6-4.

– 12th-ranked Louisiana produced at least one run each inning in capturing a 9-1 (5 inn.) win over North Dakota on Friday at Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park.

– Texas State scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, and the Bobcats went on to defeat Saint Louis 4-1 on the second day of the Bobcat Classic on Friday evening.

– South Alabama put up a pair of three-run innings and opened up the Jaguar Challenge with an 8-2 win over Austin Peay Friday night at Jaguar Field.

ARLINGTON, Texas
– Behind Madison Miller's three-run bomb to center field, UTA run-ruled the Texas Southern Tigers in its home-opener on Friday night as the Mavericks put up five runs in the fourth inning to go on to win 8-0 after just six frames of softball at Allan Saxe Field.
