COLUMBIA, S.C. – Georgia Southern rallied with two runs in the seventh inning, but fell short of upending No. 16 South Carolina as the Gamecocks claimed a 5-3 win over the Eagles on Wednesday evening at the Carolina Softball Stadium.

TROY, Ala. – Leanna Johnson posted zeros in all seven innings of action to power Troy past McNeese, 5-0, and earn her fifth shutout of the season Wednesday at the Troy Softball Complex. Johnson (7-2) blanked the Cowgirls fanning seven batters and scattering three hits in route to her fifth shutout of the season, 12th of her career.
