AUBURN, Ala. – Georgia Southern dropped a pair of games at the Auburn Invitational on Saturday at Jane B. Moore Field in Auburn, Ala. The Eagles lost to No. 18-ranked Minnesota, 14-3, in six innings in Game 1, then lost a 2-1 heartbreaker in eight innings to Binghamton in Game 2.

ATLANTA – Georgia State scored a combined 16 runs in a doubleheader sweep of Rider Saturday at the Bob Heck Softball Complex. The Panthers run-ruled the Broncos in Game 1, winning 9-0 in five innings. GSU won 7-3 in Game 2.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Trojans tossed a combined two-hitter to power past No. 16 South Carolina, 2-1, after Leanna Johnson picked up her sixth shutout to down Charlotte, 10-0, Friday in the Black and Garnet Challenge at Beckham Field. Troy (13-3) became the first team to beat the Gamecocks (11-4) in a home tournament since 2015. It also marks the first time Troy has beaten an SEC opponent since 2012 when the Trojans toppled Auburn.

CONWAY, Ark. – ULM scored four runs in the final three innings to complete a comeback and defeat Central Arkansas in eight innings, 8-5. The matchup capped day two of the Adam Brown Memorial Shamrock Classic on Saturday, Feb. 29, at the Jeff Farris Softball Complex.
