LAFAYETTE, La. – Freshman guard Mylik Wilson posted his second career double-double, scoring a game-high 17 points with 12 rebounds and Louisiana withstood a late Arkansas State rally, converting on six free throws in the final 1:20 to claim a 73-66 victory in the first round of the 2020 Sun Belt Conference Men's Basketball Championship on Saturday at the Cajundome. Winning its second consecutive game for the first time since January, No. 8-seeded Louisiana (14-18, 8-12 Sun Belt) advanced to the second round where it will face fifth-seeded Georgia Southern (18-13, 12-8) on Monday in Statesboro, Ga. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.

Game 2 - No. 10 Coastal Carolina 63, No. 7 UTA 62
ARLINGTON, Texas – Senior guard Tyrell Gumbs-Frater scored all six of his points in the second half, but none was as big as his eight footer with one second left to send No. 10 Coastal Carolina (16-16, 8-12) on to the second round of the 2020 Sun Belt Conference Men's Basketball Championship with a 63-62 win over No. 7 UTA (14-18, 10-10).
