NEW ORLEANS – Coastal Carolina’s Noe Santos and Marshall’s Oliver Semmle helped lead their squads to pivotal regular season finale victories to earn Sun Belt Men’s Soccer Player of the Week honors. For Semmle, the honors marks his second weekly recognition of the season.
Offensive Player of the Week
Noe Santos, Coastal Carolina

Coastal Carolina’s Noe Santos scored two first-half goals to help the Chanticleers to a 4-1 regular season-ending victory over Georgia Southern on Tuesday. Santos got Coastal Carolina on the board early at the three-minute mark and went on to strike again just 21 seconds later. For the sophomore forward, it was the first multiple-goal match of his career. The Kiel, Germany, native, ranks second on the squad with 11 points (4g, 3a).
Defensive Player of the Week
Oliver Semmle, Marshall

Herd keeper Oliver Semmle recorded his fifth shutout of the season to help Marshall to a 2-0 win over James Madison on Tuesday, further securing the No. 2 seed for the Sun Belt Men’s Soccer Tournament. The graduate student made three stops in the contest. Semmle’s five shutouts are tied for the conference lead.
