NEW ORLEANS – Coastal Carolina’s Aja Blount averaged a double-double in week four of non-conference action and has been named the Sun Belt Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. 
 
Blount averaged 23.5 points per game and 13.0 rebounds per game to lead her squad to a 1-1 record. The Northampton, Pa., native, shot 68.0 percent from the floor while going 11-13 from the free-throw line. Against South Carolina State, the graduate forward shot 10-12 from the floor for 23 points and grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds. Blount followed her performance with a season-high 24 points and 15 boards against College of Charleston, marking her fifth straight outing with 20 points or more.
