NEW ORLEANS – Little Rock’s Hayden Arnold and Georgia Southern’s Noah Ledford claimed the final Sun Belt weekly awards of the 2022 campaign. 
 
Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Hayden Arnold, Little Rock 
(Sr., RHP – Rison, Ark.) 
 
Trojans senior right-handed pitcher Hayden Arnold threw a complete game shutout to lead Little Rock to a 2-0 series-opening victory over Louisiana. The Rison, Ark., native allowed just five hits over nine innings pitched, while striking out a career-high 12. The outing was the first complete game shutout of his collegiate career, in which he threw just 105 pitches—76 of them strikes. His 12-strikeout performance ran his career tally to 310, making him the first Trojan to reach the 300 career strikeout plateau. 
 
Baseball Player of the Week
Noah Ledford, Georgia Southern
(RS Jr., DH – Buford, Ga.) 
 
Eagles redshirt junior designated hitter Noah Ledford led Georgia Southern to a 4-0 week, hitting .571 and slugging 1.357. The Buford, Ga., product went 8-for-14 at the plate, with two doubles, three home runs, seven runs scored and 12 RBI. His 12 RBI propelled him to a conference-leading 67 RBI on the season. Ledford is the first Eagle hitter to earn Sun Belt Player of the Week honors since Mason McWhorter on April 21, 2021.
