NEW ORLEANS — Texas State’s Tristan Stivors and Georgia Southern’s Noah Ledford headlined the group of Sun Belt standouts recognized by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) following the conclusion of the 2022 season that saw four Sun Belt teams represent the conference in NCAA Baseball Regionals for the first time since 2013. 
 
Stivors, a senior relief pitcher, was recognized as an ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I First Team All-American. Ledford, a junior designated hitter, was a Second Team All-America honoree. 
 
Stivors carried a staff-low 2.21 ERA during his senior campaign, while leading the nation with 18 saves and boasting a 7-1 mark on the hill. He struck out 86 and held opposing hitters to a .210 batting average. Ledford hit .348 and paced the Sun Belt with 70 RBI. He also led the Eagles with 79 hits, 19 doubles, 17 home runs and a .665 slugging percentage.
 
Stivors and Ledford, who were each All-Sun Belt First Team honorees this season, were also among the 11 Sun Belt standouts to garner ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-Region status following the 2022 campaign. 
 
They were joined as First Team All-Region picks by Coastal Carolina’s Reid VanScoter, Georgia State’s Griffin Cheney and Max Ryerson and Louisiana’s Carson Roccaforte. 
 
Second Team All-Region selections included Coastal Carolina’s Tyler Johnson, Georgia Southern’s Jesse Sherrill, ULM’s Mason Holt and Texas State’s Dalton Shuffield and Zeke Wood. 
 
In all, 9-of-14 All-Sun Belt First Team picks earned All-Region status, alongside a pair of All-Sun Belt Second Team selections.
