James Madison's McCloud, Old Dominion's Henderson & Arkansas State's Zvada Claim Sun Belt Football Weekly Accolades

NEW ORLEANS – Standout efforts propel James Madison’s Jordan McCloud, Old Dominion’s Jason Henderson and Arkansas State’s Dominic Zvada to the Sun Belt weekly accolades. 
 
Football Offensive Player of the Week
Jordan McCloud, James Madison
(RS Sr., QB – Tampa, Fla.)      
 
Dukes redshirt senior quarterback Jordan McCloud accounted for six touchdowns and 411 yards of total offense in a 42-14 win over Georgia State to help the Dukes move to 9-0 on the season. The Tampa, Fla., native tied his career high and the James Madison single-game program record with six touchdowns—throwing for four and rushing for two more. McCloud completed 28-of-36 passes, while rushing for a career-high 104 yards. Playing on his 24th birthday, McCloud led the Dukes offense on four-straight touchdown drives to open the second half to break the game open.   
   
Football Defensive Player of the Week
Jason Henderson, Old Dominion 
(Jr., LB – Dingmans Ferry, Pa.)
 
Monarchs junior linebacker Jason Henderson tied his own Old Dominion single-game program record with 22 tackles in a heartbreaking 28-24 loss to Coastal Carolina. The Dingmans Ferry, Pa., product added three tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in a game that the Monarchs led until a go-ahead Chanticleer touchdown with 23 seconds to play. Henderson’s 22 tackles are the second-highest single-game total in the FBS this season and perch him firmly atop the FBS ranks with 141 total tackles on the year. 
   
Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Dominic Zvada, Arkansas State 
(So., K – Chandler, Ariz.) 
 
Red Wolves sophomore kicker Dominic Zvada accounted for 13 points in a 37-17 win over Louisiana, snapping a five-game skid for Arkansas State in the head-to-head series. The Chandler, Ariz., native connected on all three of his field goal attempts from 41, 20 and 30 yards and all four of his extra-point tries. Zvada leads the Red Wolves—who now sit one win away from bowl eligibility—with 65 points scored on the year. Arkansas State is looking for its first bowl berth since a string of nine-straight postseason appearances from 2011-19.
