NEW ORLEANS – For the second straight week, Louisiana redshirt junior forward Kobe Julien has been named Sun Belt Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Julien has now received the weekly honor three times in his career with the first occasion occurring on February 22, 2022.
The Baton Rouge, La., native averaged 24 points while shooting 17-of-26 (.654) from the field and 6-of-8 (.750) beyond the 3-point arc in just 25 minutes per contest in two tilts for the Ragin’ Cajuns last week.
Julien shot 8-of-10 overall and made all three attempts from 3-point range to finish with 19 points, three steals and two assists in a 78-54 home win over Loyola-New Orleans on Nov. 27. He finished the week scoring 22 of his 29 points in the second half with six rebounds at Samford on Nov. 30.
