Davis Named Defensive MVP in Second-Straight NFL Pro Bowl Games Appearance

NEW ORLEANS – Arkansas State alumnus and New Orleans Saints linebacker Demario Davis helped lead the NFC to a 64-59 victory in the 2024 NFL Pro Bowl Games.

For his efforts, Davis—who replaced Super Bowl participant Fred Warner of the San Francisco 49ers on the NFC roster—was named the Defensive MVP of the event.

This was the second-straight Pro Bowl nod for Davis (2022, 2023)—a five-time All-Pro linebacker as a member of the Saints. Davis was a First Team All-Pro in 2019 and has rattled off four-straight Second Team All-Pro seasons from 2020-23.

Four Sun Belt alumni will compete in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday, Feb. 11, marking the sixth-straight season that the conference will be represented on the game’s biggest stage. That contingent includes Georgia Southern alumnus running back Jerick McKinnon and Marshall alum safety Nazeeh Johnson of the Kansas City Chiefs and Louisiana product running back Elijah Mitchell and South Alabama alum cornerback Darrell Luter Jr. of the San Francisco 49ers.
