NEW ORLEANS — Heading into the 2024 season, the Sun Belt joins ESPN in announcing updates to its 2024 football schedule on Thursday. 
 
The announcement includes both kickoff times and network designations for the majority of games during the first three weeks of the season and all midweek games throughout the 2024 campaign. 2024 marks the 13th-consecutive year that every Sun Belt home game will appear on an ESPN platform or another linear network. 
 
“We are excited to build upon a banner 2023 season in which the Sun Belt defeated four autonomy five programs, hosted ESPN’s College GameDay for the second-straight year and produced a conference-record and national-best 12 Bowl Season participants,” said Sun Belt Conference Commissioner Keith Gill. “This schedule acknowledges the continued rise of Sun Belt Conference football and the strength of our partnership with ESPN.” 
 
Coastal Carolina at Jacksonville State kicks off the Sun Belt’s linear appearances on Thursday, August 29, at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT on CBS Sports Network. 
 
The Sun Belt will have five additional linear appearances on Saturday, August 31—the first full Saturday of the college football season—Boise State at Georgia Southern at 4:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. CT on ESPNU; Old Dominion at South Carolina at 4:15 p.m. ET/3:15 p.m. CT on SEC Network; Southern Miss at Kentucky at 7:45 p.m. ET/6:45 p.m. CT on SEC Network; Georgia State at Georgia Tech at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT on ACC Network; and James Madison at Charlotte at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT on ESPNU. 

     

A marquee non-conference Saturday slate on Sept. 7 will feature four linear broadcasts—Troy at Memphis at 12:00 p.m. ET/11:00 a.m. CT on ESPNU; UTSA at Texas State at 4:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. CT on ESPNU; Marshall at Virginia Tech at 4:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. CT on The CW; and App State at Clemson at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT on ACC Network. 
 
Arizona State at Texas State at 7:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. CT on Thursday, Sept. 12, will air on ESPN to headline four Week 3 linear appearances. Also being showcased on national linear networks on Saturday, Sept. 14, will be Arkansas State at Michigan at 12:00 p.m. ET/11:00 a.m. CT on Big Ten Network; App State at East Carolina at 4:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. CT on ESPNU; and Troy at Iowa at 4:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. CT on FS1.

     
 
In midweek action, South Alabama at App State at 7:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. CT on Thursday, Sept. 19, will receive flagship billing on ESPN. App State at Coastal Carolina at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, Nov. 7, will air on either ESPN or ESPN2.

The 2024 Sun Belt Football Championship Game on Saturday, Dec. 7, will air on ESPN at 7:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. CT. The game will feature the champions of the conference’s East and West Divisions and will be played at the site of the divisional winner with the best overall conference record.
