NEW ORLEANS – Five Sun Belt Conference men’s basketball games will appear on either ESPN2 or ESPNU during the 2025-26 regular season.
Three Sun Belt league matchups and one non-conference tilt as part of the
MAC-SBC Challenge will comprise the conference’s wildcard appearances during the 2026 portion of the schedule. Additionally, Troy’s non-conference road tilt at UAB on Sunday, December 14 will be televised nationally on ESPN2 at 3 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. CT.
The first wildcard window will feature a conference game on Saturday, January 10 at 2 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. CT on ESPNU, and the second will shine the spotlight on a MAC-SBC Challenge contest on Saturday, February 7 at 6 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
Sun Belt Conference league games will earn the third and fourth wildcard selections on Saturday, February 14, at 8:30 p.m. ET / 7:30 p.m. CT on ESPNU, and again for the regular season finale on Friday, February 27, at 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT on ESPN2. Game selections will be determined at a later date.
All games that are televised on an ESPN network will also be available on the ESPN app. In addition, every Sun Belt men’s basketball conference game and home non-conference game will air on ESPN+.
As part of the Sun Belt’s comprehensive media rights partnership with ESPN, which runs through the 2030-31 academic year, the Worldwide Leader in Sports will also broadcast the championship games of the Sun Belt Men’s & Women’s Basketball Championships.
The 2026 Visit Pensacola Sun Belt Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships presented by Air Force Reserve will be held March 3-9, 2026 at the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Fla. The women’s basketball championship game will be broadcast on ESPNU on Monday, March 9, followed by the men’s basketball title game on ESPN or ESPN2. Tipoff times will be announced at a later date.
Both tournaments will be held at the Pensacola Bay Center which will host the Visit Pensacola Sun Belt Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships presented by Air Force Reserve through the 2029-30 campaign.
On Thursday, October 23, the
Sun Belt announced a partnership with Pensacola Sports, the designated sports tourism agency for Escambia County, to make Visit Pensacola the title sponsor of the Sun Belt Basketball Championships and the presenting sponsor of the Sun Belt Football Championship Game.
