NEW ORLEANS – The third week of Sun Belt volleyball action will feature 12 divisional matches. Seven teams enter the week on active win streaks as nine teams are above .500 in their last ten matches. 13 of the 14 matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

• AT HOME IN THE EAST – Five of the seven teams in the East Division of the league have winning records at home. James Madison touts a league-best 7-1 mark within the Convocation Center. The Dukes welcome Marshall for a series on Thursday and Friday, as the Herd are an even 3-3 on the road this season. App State will host Old Dominion on Friday and Saturday, as the Mountaineers are 4-1 inside the Holmes Convocation Center. Georgia State will host Coastal Carolina in an East Division matchup on Thursday and Friday. The Panthers sport a 6-2 mark within GSU Sports Arena, as the Chanticleers are 4-2 on the road and lead the East Division with a perfect 4-0 mark. 
• WINNING WAYS – Nine of the league’s 14 teams have winning records in their last ten matches as Week Three sets up with seven of those teams on an active win streak. Coastal Carolina and James Madison each enter the weekend with an 8-2 mark over the last ten matches. Georgia Southern, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Louisiana and Arkansas State have each finished 7-3 over the same time span. The Golden Eagles and Ragin Cajuns are the lone 7-3 matchup on Friday and Saturday. App State and Georgia State are each 6-4 over the last ten matches.
• LIMITED CHANCES – The league has continued to separate itself defensively, as numerous teams rank in various defensive categories. A staggering six teams rank in the top 80 nationally in digs per set with another four ranking in the top 80 in blocks per set. Georgia Southern ranks No. 11 in digs per set at 17.21 with Southern Miss following behind at No. 12 with 17.16. They are joined by Georgia State (No. 31, 15.96), ULM (No.55, 15.35), Marshall (No. 75, 15.09) and Coastal Carolina (No. 77, 15.07). At the net, Coastal Carolina leads the way at No. 17 with 2.79 blocks per set. Arkansas State ranks No. 46 with 2.53 as Texas State (No. 74, 2.40) and James Madison (No. 77, 2.40) round out the grouping. The Eagles rank seventh nationally in opponent hitting percentage at just a 0.150. The Panthers follow closely with the Red Wolves at No. 14 and No. 15 at 0.155. The Golden Eagles rank No. 32 at 0.169 as the Chanticleers are No. 51 at 0.176.
• LASER LOUISELL – James Madison junior outside hitter has continued her torrent pace towards the record book as she continues to lead the nation in kills. Last week, Louisell set a new program record for kills in a match at 37, as her season total of 331 currently leads the NCAA across All Divisions. Her match total of 37 also marks a NCAA Division I high for the season in a five set match, as she also remains first nationally in total points at 359. She also ranks second nationally in kills per set at 5.34 and third in points per set at 5.79.
• RPI RANKINGS – Three Sun Belt programs rank inside the top 100 of the second RPI poll that was released earlier in the week, as the league ranks seventh overall in conference RPI. App State leads the way for the league at 39 as Arkansas State comes in at 54. James Madison moved up to 78 in the rankings with a 3-1 mark in league action. Eight additional programs remain in the top 150 as Coastal Carolina leads the second group at 100. They are joined by Texas State (110), South Alabama (119), Southern Miss (123), Louisiana (125), Marshall (136), Georgia State (140) Georgia Southern (143).
