NEW ORLEANS – Marshall’s Timaya Lewis-Eutsey earns her second Sun Belt women’s basketball player of the week nod after leading the Herd to a 2-0 start to league play.

Lewis-Eutsey scored 51 points over two games, leading Marshall to a 2-0 start in Sun Belt Conference play. The senior scored a career high 31 points, shooting 11-of-16 from the field in the Herd's win over App State to kick off conference action. In the Herd’s win over James Madison, Lewis-Eutsey had a game-high seven assists and a team-high four steals in addition to her third-consecutive 20+ point performance.
This is the second player of the week honor for the senior guard, one of two Sun Belt players to have gotten the nod twice so far this season. The VCU transfer is proving to be a difference maker for the Herd, leading the team with a 16.4 scoring average and league best 3.4 steals per game.
