NEW ORLEANS – Sun Belt baseball programs were well-represented on All-America teams following a 2025 season in which the conference hosted two NCAA Baseball Regionals and had a team reach to the championship series at the Men’s College World Series for the first time in conference history.
Sun Belt Pitcher of the Year and All-Sun Belt First Teamer redshirt sophomore starting pitcher Jacob Morrison of Coastal Carolina headlined the honorees as a First Team All-America selection by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings, College Baseball Foundation, D1Baseball and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and a Second Team All-America pick by Baseball America.
Morrison
was previously recognized as the NCBWA District 4 (Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Maryland) Player of the Year and the ABCA/Rawlings National Pitcher of the Year.
Southern Miss junior starting pitcher JB Middleton—an All-Sun Belt First Team pick—also earned five All-America nods, receiving First Team recognition from the NCBWA and Perfect Game, Second Team accolades from ABCA/Rawlings and D1Baseball and Third Team honors from Baseball America.
Coastal Carolina junior catcher Caden Bodine—an All-Sun Belt First Team honoree—was dubbed a First Team All-American by the College Baseball Foundation and D1Baseball, a Second Team All-American by Perfect Game and a Third Team All-American by the NCBWA.
Bodine
previously received the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award and the ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove at catcher.
Sun Belt Player of the Year and All-Sun Belt First Teamer junior second baseman Nick Monistere of Southern Miss was recognized as a First Team All-American by the NCBWA, a Second Team All-American by D1Baseball and a Third Team All-American by Baseball America.
Four additional Sun Belt student-athletes earned All-America status. Coastal Carolina sophomore starting pitcher Cameron Flukey was named a Third Team All-American by D1Baseball; Georgia State senior second baseman Kaleb Freeman was selected as a First Team All-American by D1Baseball; Southern Miss junior relief pitcher Colby Allen was honored as a Third Team All-American by the NCBWA; and App State freshman shortstop Tyler Lichtenberger was celebrated as a Freshman First Team All-American by Perfect Game.
Flukey, Allen and Lichtenberger were All-Sun Belt First Team selections, while Freeman was an All-Sun Belt Second Team honoree behind Sun Belt Player of the Year Monistere. Lichtenberger was also the Sun Belt Freshman of the Year.
In addition to its eight student-athletes that combined for 21 All-America nods, the Sun Belt produced 10 ABCA/Rawlings All-Region picks.
Sun Belt Coach of the Year Kevin Schnall of Coastal Carolina
was previously honored as the ABCA/ATEC Atlantic Region Coach of the Year, Baseball America College Coach of the Year and Perfect Game National Coach of the Year.
Coastal Carolina—the consensus No. 2 team in the country—and Southern Miss—listed as high as No. 19 in the nation—were ranked in all five national polls to close out the 2025 season, while Troy received votes in 2-of-5 national ledgers.
