NEW ORLEANS — Georgia State will kick off the 2025 season on Saturday, August 30, when it visits Ole Miss at 7:45 p.m. ET/6:45 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
The opener against the Rebels will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
Georgia State’s non-conference schedule also includes back-to-back home matchups with Memphis (Sept. 6) and Murray State (Sept. 13), followed by a road trip to Vanderbilt (Sept. 20). In addition to annual contests against their East Division foes, the Panthers will host South Alabama (Oct. 23) and travel to Troy (Nov. 22) from the Sun Belt West Division.
The Panthers were picked seventh in the Sun Belt East Division in last month’s
2025 Sun Belt Conference Football Preseason Coaches Poll.
Second-year head coach Dell McGee will guide a roster that
features three All-Sun Belt returners from 2024 and
one 2025 Preseason All-Sun Belt honoree.
Georgia State finished 3-9 in 2024, including a 36-32 win over autonomy conference foe Vanderbilt. The Panthers have participated in Bowl Season in four of the past six campaigns, including 3-of-4 all-time bowl victories.
