NEW ORLEANS – The App State men have been predicted to win the 2025 Sun Belt Cross Country Championship as determined by a vote of the leagues head coaches. The Sun Belt on Friday released its 2025 Cross Country Preseason Coaches Poll.
 
The Mountaineer men, who won their second consecutive and fourth overall championship in 2024, tallied 79 points with 7-of-9 first-place votes. Arkansas State was picked to finish second with 72 points and the two remaining first-place votes.
 
The 2024 Sun Belt Conference Cross Country Championships are set for Friday, October 31 at the Graham Creek Nature Preserve in Foley, Ala. The men are scheduled to run the 8K after the conclusion of the women’s race around 9:15 a.m.
