NEW ORLEANS – The United Soccer Coaches released their 2025 preseason poll on Friday with two Sun Belt teams ranking in the top 25.

After making it to the NCAA College Cup Final in 2024, Marshall ranks second behind the defending champions, Vermont.

The reigning Sun Belt Conference Champions, West Virginia, rank 16th. The Mountaineers put together a historic season, having won both the Sun Belt regular season and tournament championship for the first time in program history.

Marshall and West Virginia were the only two Sun Belt teams to rank in the United Soccer Coaches poll for the entirety of the 2024 season.
