Sun Belt Conference Announces 2024-25 Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS ­– The Sun Belt Conference placed over 3,300 student-athletes on the Commissioner’s List and Academic Honor Roll for the 2024-25 academic year. Those recognized include 2,008 student-athletes on the Commissioner’s List and 1,335 student-athletes on the Academic Honor Roll. In addition, 133 student-athletes earned the 1A FAR Academic Excellence Award.
 
The Commissioner's List honors student-athletes who earned a 3.5 grade point average (GPA) or better during the 2024-25 academic year while the Academic Honor Roll honors those student-athletes who maintained a GPA between 3.00 and 3.49 for the academic year.
 
The 1A FAR Academic Excellence Award recognizes student-athletes at FBS football-sponsoring institutions who earned their undergraduate degrees between September 1, 2024 and August 31, 2025 and compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.8 or better upon graduation. In addition, the student-athletes must have participated in at least two years of NCAA intercollegiate athletics at an FBS institution.
 
All Sun Belt Conference programs in the sports of beach volleyball, men’s cross country, women’s cross country, men’s golf, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, softball, women’s swimming & diving, men’s tennis, women’s tennis, men’s track & field, women’s track & field and volleyball boasted an average GPA of 3.0 or better.
 
Across the entire Sun Belt Conference, beach volleyball (3.73) and women’s golf (3.70) student-athletes recorded the highest collective team GPAs.
