Marshall's Del Rio-Wilson, Coastal Carolina's Arinze & Troy's Crenshaw Reap Sun Belt Football Weekly Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Following contributions to victories to get their respective teams to 2-2 on the season, Marshall’s Carlos Del Rio-Wilson, Coastal Carolina’s Noah Arinze and Troy’s Evan Crenshaw reaped the Sun Belt football weekly honors. 
 
Football Offensive Player of the Week
Carlos Del Rio-Wilson, Marshall 
(RS Jr., QB – Atlanta, Ga.) 
 
Thundering Herd redshirt junior quarterback Carlos Del Rio-Wilson accounted for five touchdowns in Marshall’s 42-28 win over Middle Tennessee. The Atlanta, Ga., native completed 18-of-22 passes for 261 yards and four touchdowns through the air and added a fifth score in the ground game. Del Rio-Wilson helped Marshall outscore Middle Tennessee 21-0 in the fourth quarter to turn the tide in the non-conference win. His 261 passing yards and four touchdown passes were both career highs. 
 
Football Defensive Player of the Week
Noah Arinze, Coastal Carolina 
(Sr., DL – St. Louis, Mo.)
 
Chanticleers senior defensive lineman Noah Arinze posted a pair of sacks in Coastal Carolina’s 38-20 victory over South Alabama. The St. Louis, Mo., product registered four tackles, two tackles for loss and two sacks, wreaking havoc as a pass rusher. Arinze’s highlight came in the closing minutes, when his strip sack was recovered by redshirt junior linebacker Tray Brown and returned 13 yards for the final Chanticleer touchdown.
 
Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Evan Crenshaw, Troy 
(Jr., P – Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.)  
 
Trojans junior punter Evan Crenshaw averaged 52.2 yards per punt to aid a 21-point fourth-quarter comeback for Troy in a 21-17 win over Buffalo. The Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., native had three punts of 50-or-more yards and three punts land inside the 20-yard line. With Troy trailing 17-14 with 4:07 to play, Crenshaw boomed a 53-yard punt out of bounds at the 10-yard line, setting up a 3-and-out from the Trojans defense and Troy’s game-winning touchdown on the ensuing possession.
