NEW ORLEANS – South Alabama junior forward Adam Olsen has been named Sun Belt Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week following a standout performance in a key league victory over Georgia Southern.
Olsen poured in a game-high 22 points while shooting 8-for-17 from the field, including 6-for-10 from 3-point range in the Jaguars’ 87-71 home win to hand the Eagles their first loss in conference play this season.
A Surrey, British Columbia native, Olsen added seven rebounds, three assists and one steal in his 16th double-digit scoring performance of the year. He also eclipsed 20 points for the ninth time which leads all players in the Sun Belt in 2025-26.
Olsen is the second South Alabama player to earn the Sun Belt’s top weekly honor this season after teammate and senior guard Chaze Harris was recognized on Dec. 23.
