NEW ORLEANS – James Madison fourth-year forward Ginny Lackey and Coastal Carolina third-year goalkeeper Aris Lamanna earned Sun Belt Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honors following the 2026 season’s fourth week of league play.
Lackey claimed Offensive Player of the Week recognition for the fourth time in her career and first since Oct. 14, 2025, as Lamanna secured her second Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season to become the first repeat honoree of the season.

Ginny Lackey, James Madison

Lackey registered six points on three goals - including two game-winners - to lead the Dukes to a 2-0 week in Sun Belt action. She recorded her second brace of the season with both goals in the Dukes’ 2-0 road win at Arkansas State on Oct. 7 while taking eight shots and placing three on target. Lackey scored the game-winning goal on an unassisted corner kick with under 10 minutes remaining in the second half of a 2-1 home win over rival Old Dominion on Oct. 11. The two-time All-America choice has now scored a goal in seven-consecutive matches and leads the Sun Belt in goals (8), points (17), shots (26) and shots on goal (14) in league play.
Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Aris Lamanna, Coastal Carolina
(3rd Yr. | GK | Murrysville, Pa.)
Lamanna made nine total saves and did not allow a goal in two starts and 175 minutes of action in a 2-0 week for the Chanticleers. She made five saves in 85 minutes in a 4-1 home win over Southern Miss on Oct. 8, before completing her sixth clean sheet of the season with four saves in a 1-0 road win at App State on Oct. 11. Lamanna’s six individual shutouts place her in a three-way tie for the most in the Sun Belt this season.
