NEW ORLEANS – Four Sun Belt Conference league games and one non-conference matchup as part of the MAC-SBC Challenge in February 2027 will appear on either ESPN2 or ESPNU during the 2026-27 regular season as part of wildcard appearances selected by ESPN.
The first wildcard window will feature one of six Sun Belt matchups on Thursday, January 7 at 7 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. CT on ESPNU, and the second will shine the spotlight on a MAC-SBC Challenge contest on Saturday, February 6 at 6 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
Sun Belt league games will earn three additional spotlights in during the closing weeks of the regular season, beginning with a selection from three games on Thursday, February 11 at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT on ESPN2, followed by one of seven scheduled games on Saturday, February 13 at 2 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
On the final night of the regular season, Friday, February 26, one of seven contests will be elevated to an ESPN2 broadcast tipping off at 5 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. CT.
All games that are televised on an ESPN network will also be available on the ESPN app. In addition, every Sun Belt men’s basketball conference game and home non-conference game will air on ESPN+.
As part of the Sun Belt’s comprehensive media rights partnership with ESPN, which runs through the 2030-31 academic year, the Worldwide Leader in Sports will also broadcast the championship games of the Sun Belt Men’s & Women’s Basketball Championships.
The 2027 Visit Pensacola Sun Belt Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships presented by Air Force Reserve will be held March 2-8, 2027 at the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Fla. The women’s basketball championship game will be broadcast on an ESPN linear network on Monday, March 8, followed by the men’s basketball title game on ESPN or ESPN2. Tipoff times will be announced at a later date.
