Sun Belt Expands TrackMan Partnership for 2026 Baseball Season

NEW ORLEANS – For the fourth-straight season, the Sun Belt Conference will utilize TrackMan technology for conference baseball games during the 2026 season to assist with umpire training and evaluation. This year, the partnership has expanded to provide in-game data and analytics to coaches and staff via in-dugout tablets.

TrackMan uses patented Optically Enhanced Radar Tracking (OERT) to record and deliver data from tracking systems installed in baseball stadiums. The Trackman stadium system is used by all 14 Sun Belt schools and more than 385 colleges around the country.

The Sun Belt will use data delivered by TrackMan to monitor each pitch of every game for accuracy by Sun Belt umpires and will use the resulting information to train, evaluate and improve performance.

“As one of the nation’s premier baseball leagues, the Sun Belt is committed to investing in technology to improve the game,” said Sun Belt Conference Commissioner Keith Gill. “This includes the expansion of our innovative partnership with TrackMan to provide real-time in-game data to coaches and staff via in-dugout tablets.”

TrackMan is used by all 30 Major League Baseball teams, top amateur organizations, prominent collegiate summer leagues and is embedded in more than 1,000 stadiums around the world.

“TrackMan has been working with Sun Belt Conference for many seasons to support the training and evaluation of umpires," said TrackMan Director James Snikeris. “We’re excited to deepen our partnership with the Sun Belt by providing in-game tracking data to coaches while continuing to support the training and evaluation of umpires. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the Sun Belt to enhance the overall experience for student-athletes, coaches and fans.”

The technology will be used for all conference baseball games during the 2026 campaign.
