Senior Drew Donley scored 19 points for Texas State while capturing conference titles in both the 100 meters and 200 meters to earn Men’s Outdoor Track Performer of the Year honors. Donley opened the championship finals with a victory in the 100 meters after clocking 10.22 seconds, before returning to win the 200 meters in a personal-best 20.39 seconds. His 200-meter performance set both a facility record and a new Texas State school record, while also moving him to No. 20 in the NCAA national rankings. As one of the top sprinters in the conference, Donley consistently delivered on the championship stage and played a pivotal role in leading Texas State to its second consecutive Sun Belt outdoor team title.

Matthew Gray’s Sun Belt Championship-winning pole vault clearance of 5.84m/19-2 ranks him No. 1 in the NCAA, No. 5 in the U.S., and No. 13 in the world this year as the junior from App State garnered Men’s Outdoor Field Performer of the Year. His mark was also the best pole vault clearance in history by a North Carolina-born athlete. Gray’s clearance broke the Sun Belt and Sun Belt Championship Meet records, South Alabama’s facility record and his own App State record (for the fourth time this outdoor season). Gray Ranks No. 11 in NCAA outdoor history and his 10 points helped the App State men claim a program-best second-place Sun Belt team finish. During the season, he was undefeated in pole vault competitions in 2026 (5-for-5 outdoors, 1-for-1 indoors) and set the pole vault meet record at both the Raleigh Relays and John Weaver Invitational.

Freshman Ja’Shaun Lloyd earned Men’s High Point Scorer honors with 25.5 points to help lead Texas State to the conference title and earn both Sun Belt Freshman of the Year and Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year accolades. Lloyd captured the Sun Belt title in the 110-meter hurdles with a personal-best and facility-record time of 13.41 seconds, which also established a new Texas State school record. He followed that performance with another championship victory in the 100 meters after clocking a program-record 10.22 seconds. He closed out the championship meet with a fourth-place finish in the 200 meters in 20.67 seconds, showcasing elite versatility across the sprint and hurdle events.

Under the leadership of John Frazier, Texas State captured its second consecutive Sun Belt Conference Men’s Outdoor Championship and third consecutive Sun Belt Conference Women’s Outdoor Championship. Frazier led Texas State to another conference sweep, as the Bobcats became just the second program in Sun Belt Conference history to record back-to-back conference sweeps. The men claimed the title with 157 team points as the women outscored the field with 128.83.

Sun Belt Women’s Outdoor Track Performer of the Year Shatalya Dorsett delivered a historic performance at the SBC Outdoor Championships, earning Women’s High Point Scorer honors with 23 total points while leading Georgia Southern to multiple gold-medal finishes. Dorsett was a key member of the conference champion 4x100m relay team that posted a facility-record time while moving to No. 2 all-time in program history. Individually, she claimed gold in the 200m with a facility-record performance, improving her standing to No. 2 on Georgia Southern’s all-time list. She capped off her championship meet with another conference title in the 100m, clocking a blazing 11.18 to set both a facility record and a new program record.

Former NCAA national champion Elisabet Runarsdottir captured the Sun Belt Conference women’s hammer throw title with a meet-record mark of 70.81m/232-3 to earn Sun Belt Women’s Outdoor Field Performer of the Year. Her winning throw not only earned 10 points for Texas State but also established new Sun Belt Championship Meet and facility record. Her championship-winning mark would rank No. 4 nationally this season, while her season-best throw of 72.89m currently ranks No. 2 in the NCAA.

App State’s Ashlynn Wimberly was the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships top performing female freshman in both the triple jump (2nd place) and high jump (6th place) as she garnered Sun Belt Women’s Outdoor Freshman of the Year honors. She scored 10.5 points to help App State to a program-best third-place team result. Her season-best triple jump of 12.64m/41-5.75 ranks her third among Sun Belt jumpers this year and her season-best high jump of 1.75m/5-8.75 is tied for third in the league, best among league freshmen and fourth-best in school history.

Transfer newcomer Sophie Daugard won the Sun Belt Conference heptathlon title with 5,456 points to earn Sun Belt Women’s Outdoor Newcomer of the Year accolades. Daugard finished inside the top three in six of the seven heptathlon events and claimed event victories in both the 200 meters and long jump, while also recording runner-up finishes in the 100-meter hurdles and shot put. Earlier in the season, Daugard etched her name into the program record books after setting a new Texas State school record in the heptathlon with 5,537 points at the Bobcat Invitational.
