NEW ORLEANS – As key contributors in convincing team victories, James Madison’s Camden Coleman, Louisiana’s Brent Gordon Jr. and Georgia State’s Isaiah Stone earned the Sun Belt football weekly awards. 
 
Football Offensive Player of the Week
Camden Coleman, James Madison
(4th Yr., QB – Winston-Salem, N.C.)
 
Dukes fourth-year quarterback Camden Coleman threw four touchdown passes to four different receivers in a 46-20 Royal Rivalry win over in-state rival Old Dominion—James Madison’s fifth-straight win over the Monarchs. The Winston-Salem, N.C., product completed his first nine passes and 14 of his first 15 on the night. Coleman finished 24-of-42 with 243 yards in the win. For the fourth time in five FBS seasons, James Madison is off to a 4-0 start. 
 
Football Defensive Player of the Week
Brent Gordon Jr., Louisiana
(So., DB – Cecilia, La.)
 
Ragin’ Cajuns sophomore defensive back Brent Gordon Jr. filled up the stat sheet in a 34-7 win over Charlotte. The Cecilia, La., native tallied seven tackles, a tackle for loss, two pass breakups, an interception, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in the win. With Gordon Jr. as a key cog, the Louisiana defense conceded its lowest yardage total—137 yards—since Sept. 1, 2001 against Nicholls. The Ragin’ Cajuns defense has allowed just one offensive touchdown in Louisiana’s three victories on the season.
 
Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Isaiah Stone, Georgia State
(Jr., RS – Smyrna, Ga.) 
 
Panthers junior return specialist Isaiah Stone provided a momentum-building 100-yard kickoff return touchdown in Georgia State’s 35-14 victory over Northern Illinois. The Smyrna, Ga., product carried the ball end zone to end zone to match the Panther program record for the longest kickoff return, which was previously set in 2015. Stone also added a tackle on special teams and accumulated 14 yards on two offensive touches as a wide receiver.
