NEW ORLEANS – App State second-year forward Libby Bermingham and Marshall third-year goalkeeper Emma Durand have earned Sun Belt Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honors following the fourth week of the 2026 season.
Bermingham becomes the Mountaineers’ first Offensive Player of the Week selection since teammate Ellie Garrison on Aug. 19, 2025, while Durand is the Herd’s first Defensive Player of the Week since Angel Fowler on Nov. 2, 2025.

Bermingham registered a first half brace to help App State earn a 2-2 draw at Miami (Fla.) on Sept. 3, extending the team’s unbeaten streak to six in a row. It was Bermingham’s second two-goal game of the season, as she ranks third in the Sun Belt in goals (5) and third in shots on goal (12) and points (10) on the year.
Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Emma Durand, Marshall

Durand led the Herd to its second-consecutive clean sheet in a scoreless draw against Murray State on Sept. 3, before making a career-high 10 saves against No. 7 West Virginia on Sept. 6. Against the nationally-ranked, in-state foe, Durand faced 25 shots and made six saves in the opening 45 minutes before stopping four more shot attempts in the second half.
